The Angelic Realm

Welcome to the Angelic-Realm! The Angelic Realm does not just consist of hocus pocus beings with wings who fly around the universe and throw flowers upon people who think of them! Although if you ask one of them they may just do that just so you know they are there, or a butterfly may fly past in a way of them saying hello we heard you.
Aside from that there is a definitive Hierarchy amongst these beings. From our human realm right up to the creator these beings perform certain roles in the process of creation and in the process of the universal dance for our souls and our human experience to grow and learn. Angels in this sense are not to be confused with guides who perform different roles. None are more or less equal in the eyes of the creator and guides are discussed in detail here

The Nine Orders Of Angels

In the ancient western world attempts were made to organise everything into some form of understandable order, angels were no exception. Back in the sixth century Dionysius the Areopagite wrote his 'Celestial Hierarchy' and this was later adopted by the Catholic Church and has remained the main stay of thinking on angel hierarchy ever since.

The Dionysius Hierarchy of Angels

Dionysius divided the angels into nine choirs, split into three orders or triads. Those nearest to God were the Seraphim, Cherubim and Thrones. Next came the Dominions, Virtues and Powers and finally those closest to human kind were the Principalities, Archangel and Angels
